Use at Your Own Risk

LoadCalc Studio is a working rigging calculation aid intended for field, planning, and educational use. You may use its calculations in real-world workflows at your own risk, but you are responsible for independently verifying critical inputs and results. LoadCalc is not a substitute for qualified rigging knowledge, required engineering, manufacturer instructions, applicable standards, inspections, or site procedures.

Calculation Models & Assumptions

LoadCalc uses deterministic geometry and statics relationships, but not every rigging system is uniquely solvable from statics alone. In particular, four-leg load sharing is statically indeterminate without a compatibility or stiffness assumption. Where LoadCalc provides a four-leg distribution, the app identifies the analytical assumption used and treats the result as an analytical estimate. Actual leg loading can vary with sling tolerances, stretch, load rigidity, pick geometry, and setup.

No Warranty

This software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the tool will be error-free, accurate, or suitable for any particular purpose. Users assume full responsibility for verifying all outputs against applicable standards and manufacturer specifications.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall LoadCalc Studio, its creators, or contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of this tool. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for property loss, personal injury, or death.

Standards & Compliance

Users must always comply with applicable regulations including, but not limited to:

  • ASME B30 series (Slings, Below-the-Hook, Cranes)
  • OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart CC (Cranes in Construction)
  • Site-specific safety policies and procedures
  • Manufacturer Working Load Limit (WLL) charts and instructions
  • Applicable local, state, and federal regulations

User Responsibility

By using this tool, you acknowledge that you are responsible for verifying all calculations, selecting appropriate equipment, and ensuring compliance with all applicable standards. The sling tag and current manufacturer documentation are always the source of truth for equipment ratings. Do not infer a higher multi-leg working load limit from a calculated per-leg distribution.
